2017 Neo Noir
100% Grenache. Years ago at a Hospice du Rhône Banyuls panel discussion, we were intrigued by the idea that you could pair sweet wine with a savory dish. Banyuls is not your typical syrupy sweet dessert wine. This wine is light and bright on the pallet with dark cherry, vanilla and tobacco undertones. While it could indeed satisfy your dessert needs, pair it with seared duck breast on a plum sage reduction and a rich potato and onion gratin. This wine is pre-oxidized and will last months once opened and for years and years in the cellar. Drink 2023+
"The nose on this dessert wine is boozy, with peat, dried cherry and herb aromas. The palate handles the alcohol more deftly, showing caramelized cherry, cola and berry-leather flavors."

2008 Honey Badger
Honey Badger is magical elixir of Syrah and Grenache. In 2008, the must was fermented to 12 brix, pressed and placed in barrel and lost in our barrel room. 10 years passed and the barrel emerged. With a bit of trepidation, we peeked in and were amazed at what we tasted. It had shed it color and taken on the characteristics of a Aussie Tawny. We placed it in a fresh barrel to round out it’s elevage. Now 13 years later we present to you this special very limited treat of a wine. Notes of pineapple upside down cake, marzipan and cardamom lure you in to a palate of butterscotch, maple and blood orange. The finish last for well over a minute. Enjoy on its own as the peak of the meal or serve with pineapple upside down cake of course! 300 bottles produced. This is our tip of the hat to Eric Jensen, founder of Booker Vineyard and know by his peers as “The Badger”.
